“The sea rose because a strong wind was blowing.” John 6:18.
God send forth His word and melts every circumstance; He unleashes His winds, and the waters flow. He spoke a word, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm. Among the natural forces of life, that science has taken time to study and utilize in providing a better life for people in different locations of the world is the wind. A blowing wind has the power to birth different effect depending on how it is channeled. While Jesus walked the earth, He was found to be in different situations of life like many of us, so that He can have the real experience that man faces when they are in such a dilemma. God is a miracle working God.
Among the situations was a different moment on the sea and rivers with severe winds blowing and beating hard against His ship. In one of those times, He was found sleeping, and His disciples had to come and wake Him up. In another time, His disciples were alone in the ship and were facing the effect of a strong wind blowing against their ship, and it was like the ship will turn over, Jesus was found walking on the stormy sea and coming to the disciples (Matthew 14:25-31).
This scenario showed us that there is no stormy wind that Jesus cannot walk through, be it on the land or the sea.
Jesus did not just walk on the sea, but likewise invited Peter, one of His disciples, to join Him when Peter requested.
Whenever the wind blows over the sea, the sea rise and Peter saw this and lost his walk on the sea. The blowing wind over the sea wants to sink us, and we should not give such a space. Do not pay attention to the whistling and the whisperings of the Wind while Jesus who invited you to the walk the way that is before you.
My God, whom I called the rock, the fortress, and the deliverer; He is ready to keep you from falling. Stop looking at the blowing winds nor the rising sea, but instead look to the great deliverer of men of all time because He reigns over all and He uses all to work together for your good. “Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
