What do You Believe? 2
“One of the criminals who were hanged insulted Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.” Luke 23:39
What you believe can make or break your life. When you believe the impossible, you will always have the reward of impossible circumstances. If you believe that there is a God of possibility who created the universe and everything else in it, then your status will always change to enjoy heaven on earth with all its wonders.
In Luke 23:26-43, two thieves were crucified with Jesus Christ. One was a man of bad character and had no heart for anyone but himself. He did not see the Savior beside him, but instead, he saw criminals like himself, and because of his unbelieve. He missed the opportunity of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ and ended up in hell with no hope of redemption.
Likewise, many people have lost such an opportunity of greatness because of their attitude towards their fellow brother and sister, whom they never thought would be able to help them. Some people missed excellent marriage opportunities and relationships because of selfishness and unbelieve that there is God who saved. What about you, what do you believe?
Don’t allow Unbelieve to blindfold you with pride to the extent that you don’t see the possibility of God’s grace in the life of people around you. Don’t be like the pharisee and Sadducee who don’t believe the truth of Jesus Christ, because they are far (pharisee) to see and sad (Sadducee) to believe. Don’t wait for Ferrari or mansion from your friend before you believe.
Jesus said, “A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” Matthew 16:4
Prayer:
1. Oh, Lord! Thank you for the grace and mercy through Christ Jesus.
2. Any powers pushing me against God’s will for my life, in the name of Jesus, wither and perish by fire now.
3. Hell is not my portion in Jesus’ name.
