What Fills You Flows Through You!

What Fills You Flows Through You!

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

“Filled within, you’ll bless without.” Imagine your spirit as a towering tree, deeply rooted in rich soil. Just as sap travels through the roots and nourishes every branch, what fills you — be it hope, purpose, or love — will flow outward, influencing those around you. As we gather today, let us invite the Spirit to replenish our inner wellspring. Remember, just like the believers at Pentecost who were filled with the Holy Spirit, so too can we be infused with divine inspiration before embarking on any task.

In the Bible, we see that the power of the Holy Spirit is transformative. Acts 1:8 reminds us, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.” Just as sap rises in the spring, so does the energy we receive from the divine when we are open to being filled. We become vessels of this power; our words and actions can ripple outwards, encouraging and uplifting others.

2 Timothy 1:6-7 says, “Therefore, I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

Think of this as “root pressure,” where deep spiritual nourishment pushes us forward. In 2 Timothy 1:6-7, we’re encouraged: “For this reason, I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you.” Like roots that do not strain but supply, we too can provide strength and support when we are full of the Spirit. When we cultivate positivity and grace within, we naturally share it, spreading love and inspiration to those we encounter.

Micah 3:8 highlights the profound impact of being filled: “But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord.” When we channel this divine energy, we act as conduits of hope, creativity, and strength. Our actions, shaped by what fills us, can have a transformative impact on the world around us. Amen. Acts 13:47 says, “For this is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” Amen.

Prayer for the Day!

Heavenly Father, fill our hearts with Your Spirit so that we might overflow with the gifts of love, joy, and peace. Help us to be mindful of what we allow into our hearts and minds, knowing that it will flow out into the world. May we embody Your light and empower others with our words and deeds. In Jesus name. Amen.
