What’s in Your Heart? 2

“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10

A loving heart is a golden heart. It is filled with treasures that are precious to God in every way. Do you have such a heart? Do you show love to everyone around you? Is your heart filled with the Love of God or with something else? Because a golden heart is a vessel for love, and it is only when we are filled with love that we can truly feel the fullness of God’s presence.

As Christians, we should keep our hearts clean and pure for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, not with any greed, pride, or unforgiveness. Our lives should show that we are true followers of Christ by walking in love like Christ has loved us by giving Himself for us as an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor. People should be able to see the beauty of God’s love and his grace through our actions.

Proverbs 27:19 says, “As in water, a face reflects the face, so the heart of a person reflects the person.”

What will make us become good stewardship of God on earth is the love from a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith (1 Timothy 1:4-5). That is why God instructed us to have a heart filled with love and compassion to detect what is evil and cling to what is good in life. But we cannot do this if we are not truly devoted in love to God and his word. The word of God will cleanse our hearts and renew a right spirit within us that will lead us to the truth of what God desires for us.

Remember, the word of God is always alive, active, and sharper than any weapon to convince and convert sinners (Hebrews 4:12, Psalm 19:7); to correct faults and errors (2 Timothy 3:16-17); to lightening minds with light and wisdom (Matthew 7:24); to console the mourner with peace amid grief (2 Corinthians 1:3-4), and to sanctify the believers with the truth (John 17:17). It is the word of God that brings life to those who believe in Him. Therefore, let God’s word dwell in your heart. Psalm 119:11 says, “I have hidden God’s word in my heart that I might not sin against Him.”

Prayers;
1. Oh Lord, please let your love fill my heart!
2. Father Lord, please give me the grace to be able to love everyone.
3. Dear God, let your word dwell in my heart so that I will not sin against you in any way in Jesus’ name.
