Worthy are You, Oh Lord!
“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will, they existed and were created.” Revelation 4:11
Every day God shows his love for us, and He is worthy to be praised. Of course, people are faced with challenges, obstacles, and trials that seem insurmountable, but that doesn’t mean we should stop praising God. The fears, doubts, and insecurities in this world of uncertainty shouldn’t make us lose sight of God. Always remember that He is there for you, even if you don’t see him. God sees you through these challenges and gives you the strength to overcome them.
It does not matter what you face, Proverbs 3:6 says, “in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.” So, whatever you do, whether in word or deed, big or small, present or future, do it in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and give thanks to God. Don’t allow your circumstances to be a hindrance to your faith. Keep on believing in God’s power in all.
1 Peter 3:15 says, “But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.”
My son asked me this question one day; “Dad, how did you manage to wake up every morning and get us up for devotion? Because I have been trying to do the same thing as well, but I can’t.” Then I smiled; I said because God helped me. He went further, saying, “what about using alarm…” then I smiled again. I said, son, an alarm may help, but it is useless when somebody is dead. So even with the alarm on our side, you still have to trust God because the alarm is futile at the graveyard.
Brethren, has God helped you? If so, let’s watch every spoken word; watch every step you take in life and every move you make; make sure it acknowledges GOD; whether referring to your past, talking about your present situation, or even envision the future, make sure it acknowledges GOD. Psalm 14:1 says, “The fool says in his heart “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good.”
