Do not allow your temporary state of affairs to discourage you about God-given talent. In 1 Samuel 4, the wife of Phinehas story, which covers just a few verses towards the end of 1 Samuel 4, where she was introduced as the daughter-in-law of Eli. She is about to give birth when she heard that the Philistines had captured the Ark of God. She dies in childbirth, and calls her son “Ichabod,” saying, “The glory has departed from Israel.” In other word, “NO GLORY.” I understand that the Glory of God is essential in every life, home, city, and nation. The Ark of God belongs to God, and God knows why it was captured.
Rick Warren said “What happens outwardly in your life is not as important as what happens inside you. Your circumstances are temporary, but your character will last forever.” Do not allow circumstances oppressed you to the extent that you will destroy that God-given talent or gift that you are being carried for so long, and few minutes to deliver it, you change your mind. You cannot let circumstances dictate what you should do or change your given talent.
The devil is not playing; he is a roaring lion, looking for whom he may devour. He is ready to waste every given talent that God deposited in you if you allow him. He tried it with Jesus; he failed. With Christ in you, he will fail again. Therefore, hold on to Jesus, the author, and finisher of faith. Remember Psalm 56:9 says (paraphrase)’ your enemies will retreat on the day you call on Jesus for help. By this, you will know that God is on your side and he has a plan for you.’
