YOUR EXTRA OIL!
“Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, ” Matthew 25:3
The parable of the Ten Virgins and the bridegroom finds its settings during the week leading up to Jesus Christ’s death on the cross. During those days, weddings in the ancient east were almost always late in the evening and would involve ten maidens. The bridegroom would visit the bride’s house to escort her with pomp and gladness of heart either to his own or somewhere else for feasting.
The ten virgins would have their lamps burning in expectant of the wedding party at some point along the way, and then, they would join the processions to the feast. However, five foolish virgins did not take with them extra oil that can sustain them throughout their waiting time, and they rejected and dismissed for such a shameful act.
The question is, where is your extra oil, your finishing touches on tasks assigned to you? What are your preparations for your breakthrough? How do you prepare yourself to be ready when you meet with an opportunity when it presents itself?
According to Benjamin Disraeli, He said: “The secret of success in life is for a man to be ready for his opportunity when it comes.” Are you ready for the opportunity that lies ahead? Because the devil knows that the day of opportunity is the day of God’s answer to your prayer. Therefore, Satan will do all he can do to blindfold, confused, and derailed people for the next opportunity of the open door. Or stop them from meeting the helper of destiny.
“Be sober and vigilant, because your enemy, the devil is so nosy, sneaky and moving all around, looking for whom he may destroy.” 1 Peter 5:8
Prayer:
I am here to declare to you that every evil man or woman terrorizing your next opportunity of breakthrough shall be consumed by the fire of Holy Ghost.
