A Joyful Heart!
“A joyful heart is a good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.” Proverbs 17:22
Is your day reflect a joyful day? Is your attitude reflect a joyful heart? If yes, I am glad and thankful that you are here with me. If not, then I want you to look at today’s verse and think of how much better it would be if you didn’t have to go about with a sorrowful heart. Because even ordinary smiling will reverse ages, and laughing will reduce stress. In other words, a joyful heart keeps wrinkles out of your face and prevents a possible heart attack.
Let the joy of the Lord flow in your heart, and you will see the glory radiating all over you. A friend of mine once said, “the joy of the Lord is our ‘anti-aging balm!” That is true because when you allow the Joy of the Lord to flow through you, it will be like an antidote to the disease of aging. When you let go of your worries about what others think of you and begin to celebrate the good things in life, you will find yourself happier and more fulfilled. You can gather your strength amid the celebration.
Nehemiah 8:10 said, “He said to them, “Go and eat delicacies and drink sweet drinks and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared. For this day is holy to our Lord. Therefore, do not grieve, for the Joy of the LORD is your strength.”
C. S Lewis said, “Joy is the serious business in Heaven.” And if Joy is a serious business, then it must also be serious business on earth. Do not allow the business of the fruit of the spirit to shrink away and become a burden upon your heart. Instead, let Joy be the light that shines through every difficulty you encounter in life. When we are joyful, God allows us to experience the joy of his presence and see the good in all things.
Do not let challenges such as distress, anguish, despair, trial, or tribulation in this life consume you to the extent that you forgot all the promises, goodness, and Joy of the Lord in your life. Do not let the pursuit of this world steal your JOY because it is the will of God for you to be happy. Jesus wants you to live a life filled with joy; that is why He said, “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.” John 15:11
Prayer:
1. Thank you, Jesus, for the joy of salvation and the peace of God.
2. Evil powers and agents challenging my JOY Holy Ghost fire pull them down now.
God bless you and your ministries both in heavenly and earthly blessings! Your daily Bible devotion has blessed me highly!
