“And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose” Romans 8:28
I pray for you that in every area of your life—be it marriage, careers, business, family, or ministry—God will begin a work of renewal and transformation. Just as grapes must be crushed to produce new wine, sometimes we must go through challenges for divine change. In these moments of pressing and squeezing, may you find comfort and strength in knowing that God is at work (Romans 8:28).
Let us remember the story of Joseph from the Bible whose journey was filled with crushing circumstances—from being sold into slavery to unjust imprisonment. Yet through these trials, God was preparing him for a greater purpose. Like Joseph, may you emerge stronger and full of new wisdom when this season passes. Let God’s promises shine brightly upon you as He molds you into a vessel of honor.
Jeremiah 18:6 says, “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand”
Imagine your life as a garden where seeds lie dormant beneath the soil until they are nurtured by rain and sunshine. The pressing weight above them symbolizes life’s pressures but it is under this weight that growth begins. As Catherine Marshall once said, God loves His children too much to let them stay forever where they are, embrace this time of spiritual cultivation so new fruitfulness can bloom.
In closing my prayer, I ask Jesus to bring new wine out of you through His grace and mercy. May He make something beautiful from whatever emptiness or scarcity you perceive now. In surrendering to His will just as Jeremiah did proclaiming in verse 18:6 Like clay in the hand of the potter, allow yourself to be reshaped by the Master’s skilled hands into whatever He wishes you to become. Isaiah 64:8 says, “But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.” Amen.
Pray
I pray that streams of living water flow abundantly within you, renewing every aspect of your spirit and soul. Like clay on the Potter’s wheel, may God shape your path so beautifully aligned with His purpose that it inspires all who witness it. Let your life be transformed into new wine—pure and overflowing with joy and strength, continually refreshed by the Vine Himself. May this renewal draw others closer to His light through the witness of your transformation. Amen.
