An Encounter with God! 2
There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire, it did not burn up. Exodus 3:2
Moses ran away from the land of Egypt because he feared what Pharaoh would do to him when the news of how he murdered an Egyptian spread. He did not want to be caught up in this terrible ordeal. Instead, he ran and hide in the wilderness and later seek refuge from Jethro, who later became his father-in-law.
While Moses was attending to the flock of Jethro the Midianite, he has an encounter with God. The angel of the Lord appeared and speaking to him from within the unconsuming burning bush on Mount Horeb, which Moses referred to as a mountain of God. Right there, he got promoted from a mere shepherd to a deliverer that delivered Israel from the hands of their slave master.
Exodus 23:20 says, “Behold; I am sending an angel before you to protect you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.”
Your situation might seem different than what I am describing, yet it does not beyond God’s intervention. God still makes the impossibility to be possible; think about it. If He can lift Moses out the pit of despair, out of the miry clay, and out of the valley of the shadow of death, then surely he could lift you out of your misery. But you must listen and pay much attention to His word because God has something to tell you.
If you have an encounter with God, your life will not be the same again. It is a great experience that will give you the strength to face your fears, doubts, and insecurities. An encounter with God is out of the ordinary; it is a supernatural manifestation of God’s presence in every aspect of your life. You can ask for it now. Psalm 81:10 says, “I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.”
Psalm 119:133; Oh Lord, order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
