Answer the Call!
“To this, He called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 2:14
Our destiny is waiting to come through the glorification of the Father in Christ Jesus. This is the promise for those who have been awakened to the truth that God predestined. But before the glorification process takes place, we must be willing to answer the call of God and come out of our old way of living to live a new life in Christ. Until we answer the call of God and come out of our old ways, we will never know what it means to live a new life through justification.
Romans 8:30 says, “And those whom He predestined he also called, and those whom He called He also justified, and those whom he justified He also glorified.” In other words, if you are not ready to accept the call of God, to comes out of darkness (sinful nature) into the light of truth, you cannot expect him to give you the opportunity for a new life, which is the state of change called justification. This is where obedience becomes an important part of your faith.
Romans 6:1-2 says, “What then shall we say? Shall we continue in sin so that grace may increase? Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer?”
People ask most of the time that “why are some Christians still under the bondage of the enemy?” The question-answer is that do they fully answer the call? There is nothing keeping people in bondage other than refusing to answer the call and accept the new life. We all need to know that no blessing of God enters into a believer who still embraced the old life. Mathew 9:17 says, “‘no one puts new wine into old wineskins. For the old skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. So new wine is stored in new wineskins so that both are preserved.”
Our bottles need to be changed to a new one so that the new wine God has for us can freely enter into our vessels, and they will both be preserved. So, when we answered the call to accepted Christ and started to live as Christ did, we were transformed by His blood into a new life, and every spirit of condemnation was lifted out because we become a useful new vessel in which we could experience the new life God had for us. So, Romans 8:1 says, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
Prayer:
1. Holy Spirit guides my steps in the right direction and brings me to the place I am called to go.
2. Psalm 46:1; God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Says, ‘O Lord God, help me to walk in the way of righteousness and truth in Jesus’ name.
