“And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.” Matthew, 12:25:
Once upon a time, a group of brothers lived in a humble village nestled among rolling hills. They were fortunate to have inherited a vast piece of fertile land from their beloved father. With hearts full of potential and promise, they dreamt of cultivating this land together and reaping its plentiful harvests as one united family. However, as time passed, the seeds of jealousy began to take root in their hearts. Each brother sought to claim more for himself, blinded by the illusion that individual success was better than shared prosperity.
The once close-knit siblings fell victim to the toxic grip of rivalry; their unity shattered like fragile glass. The brothers became trapped in a vicious cycle of competition rather than collaboration as seasons came and went. Each day brought forth arguments over boundaries and division over resources. Their fields remained barren and untamed while resentment grew like weeds in the fertile soil.
1 Corinthians 3:3 says, “For you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way?”
But deep down, tucked away behind layers of hurt and pride, the bonds of fraternity still lingered within them. It only took one spark, one glimmer of hope amidst despair, for them to realize that their true strength lay not in tearing each other down but standing together against adversity. With determination igniting their souls, the brothers decided it was time to break free from this self-imposed prison. They knew it would be difficult; wounds and trust needed healing. So they gathered under an ancient oak tree – a symbol of wisdom and solidarity – seeking guidance on how best to mend their fractured relationship.
To restore harmony among them, they devised a plan that would empower rather than divide. They agreed to pool their knowledge and skills, each brother bringing his unique strengths into play for the collective benefit of all. Boundaries were redrawn with open minds and compassionate hearts as they learned the value of compromise. Slowly but surely, new life breathed into those desolate fields as cooperation replaced competition. Seeds were sown, nurturing the land with love and unity. Are You Trapped in a Vicious Cycle of Competition? Think about it again and ask God to deliver you. Amen. 1 John 2:9 says, “Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness.” Amen.
Prayer for Today,
In the powerful name of Jesus, I firmly rise up against and break free from every force that attempts to trap me in a Vicious Cycle of Competition, obstructing my path toward progress. I boldly declare victory over every divisive force that seeks to sow discord and disharmony within my marriage, business ventures, family relationships, and career. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
God of all creatures bless this ministry in every aspect of its life.
