Be Bold!

“Since we have such a hope, we are very bold” 2 Corinthians 3:12

Many bold and strong-willed people in the world are using their strength for the advantage of the devil. You might have seen people who become terrorists, and they are not scared of being killed during the process. I have seen people take dangerous challenges to prove their superiority. There are unpredictable outcomes in these cases, whether they will fail or succeed, but still, these people even go ahead.

The disciples were surprised and in great confusion when they saw Jesus walking on water. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit, and they cried out for fear… Matthew 14:26. Jesus had to speak to them from a distance to calm their fears. After Peter saw this, he was interested in such a great act.

“And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on water to go to Jesus.” Matthew 14:29

Peter risked his life by asking Jesus for permission to allow him to come to Him on the water the same way. But when the great storm started, Peter’s faith could no longer sustain it, and he began to sink. It was at that point he called on Jesus, and He saved him. Even though Peter couldn’t walk to the end, his boldness helped him set out and do the impossible. God knows our abilities; He knows we might not be able to walk to the end, but there is a need for us to take a bold step, leaving our comfort zone and wait for God to help us finish to the end.

At any time, you see opportunities, take bold steps, apply your faith, and obey God’s word. Do not just take a position in life; make a move in your spiritual life, business, and academics; God is ready to help you to the end of it. Hebrews 13:6 “So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

Prayer:
1. Lord, help me to live a bold life for you. Remove every spirit of fear in my life.
2. Psalm 118:6 – “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can a mere mortal do to me?”
