Be Sure to Call! 2
“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too difficult for Me? Jeremiah 32:27
A young man narrated his Mom’s ritual responsibility request when he had issues with his marriage, which led to his wife’s divorce. Of course, before the divorce, the Mom doesn’t like to interfere or make any fuss over her son’s marital affairs. Because she believed that the son could take care of his marriage, neither the son was willing to report anything about his marital issues to his mother.
However, after the divorce, the Mom started to worry about the child’s health, loneliness, and lack of support that he usually receives from his ex-wife. This is where the Mom comes in handy for him and gives him a ritual responsibility to “Be sure to Call” when he goes out or when he comes home. The son was initially reluctant but later yielded to the advice because he realized that Mom cares about him.
Psalm 34:17 says, “when the righteous call for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.”
Likewise, God has given us a responsibility to call him because He cares, and we must do so. It is in this call that the Lord will show us His love, faithfulness and give us the strength to walk with Him in all things and fulfill our potential. We are called to live by faith, not by sight or hearing, but by faith through prayer, petition, and worship. Therefore, ‘Be Sure to Call!’
Our Father in heaven cares about his children and wants them to have a good life. Like any other methodology in connecting God’s Word to human experience and answering prayer, the best way of communicating to God is through prayer. When you make that call through prayer and prayer alone, God will hear you. So, Be Sure to Call. Acts 2:21 says, “And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Prayer:
1. Lord, I thank you because you hear me when I call upon you.
2. Matthew 21:22 “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.” Be sure to call now.
