Believe and Speak!
“I pray that your partnership in the faith may become effective as you fully acknowledge every good thing that is ours in Christ.” Philemon 1:6
Our journey as a believer demands that we consciously walk and work with every of God’s word. As believers, we don’t just read the Bible; it is important that we believe what it says and speaks God’s word in faith. Second Corinthians 4:13 says, “We’re having the same spirit of faith, according to as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.”
The word of God was given for our use, it’s a book full of spiritual guides, and when we find our portion of the scripture (maybe for a particular situation), we must keep using the word till our world is recreated – Through faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God so that things that are seen were not made of things that do appear.
Hebrews 11:3 says, “By faith, we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”
Importantly, we are to act out God’s word and not just recite it; to activate the word faster. This goes beyond recitation, as many people believe in putting many scriptures in the brain. The word of God is not just to work in the brain; it should involve our Spirit. The body is expected to practice what the word says in faith, and then it will become more activated in the Spirit.
For instance, when the scripture says, “…and with his stripes, we are healed — Isaiah 53:5,” then our actions and word should be active and not sluggish. Even when you feel weak, you don’t pronounce ‘weakness’ because you have a supernatural strength from God. So, declare what God says about you in faith and not what the world presents to you in doubt. Hebrews 6:5 says, “who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age.”
Prayer:
1. Thank you, Lord, for the word you have given to us.
2. Oh Lord, let your words stand and active in my Spirit in Jesus’ name. Amen.
