Call Unto Service!

“And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone.” 1 Thessalonians 5:14

Jesus has called us into His light. He picked us out of darkness so that we may duplicate His nature so that we can live how He lived. One substantial nature of Christ is His ability to serve humans. Jesus did everything and gave all to humanity and the greatest sacrifice, giving His life for us.

If we are indeed followers of Christ, we need to stand as the true light. We need to raise people who are down. We need to lift those who have fallen short or who cannot rise above their circumstances. Christianity is a light that shines through the darkness. It is a light to shine to the brokenhearted, the lost, the rejected, the persecuted, the oppressed, and so on. It is expected of us to serve in every needed place.

Isaiah 35:3-4 says, “Strengthen the limp hands and steady the feeble knees! Say to those with anxious hearts: “Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with a vengeance. With divine retribution, He will come to save you.”

The work is not for the Pastors, Apostles, or the so-called ministers alone, every child of God is meant to serve in all aspects of need. I find it very alarming that Christians still do not live in the bidding of their calling. They are full of unruly principle that kingdom labor is for Ministers and not to ‘others.’ Meanwhile, our identification as kingdom brethren is a Call onto Service. We don’t need to be announced as a minister before we can serve.

Get it Right! He who walks with God and truly loves God will serve willingly and sincerely. It starts by talking about the one you love and sharing the devotion with others. God is not just interested in our new birth; He seeks to see our work on earth. He wants our life to yield more fruit. And yielding more fruit will bring more joy to the father in heaven. In John 15:8, Jesus said, “My Father’s glory is shown by your bearing much fruit, and in this way, you become my disciples.”

Prayer:
1. Lord, help me to be a faithful steward in your vineyard.
2. 2 Cor.12:9; Oh Lord, let your sufficient grace for uncommon advancement and elevation, rest upon me in Jesus name.
