Celebrating Life’s Blessings with Gratitude!
“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will, they existed and were created.” Revelation 4:11
Gratitude is an essential part of life that should be practiced each and every day. Expressing thankfulness to God for everything He has blessed us with can bring a deeper meaning to our lives. It also helps us recognize the power of His love in our lives, which can be a powerful source of strength and peace. But, unfortunately, every day when we are faced with challenges, obstacles, and trials that seem insurmountable. Or when we face our fears, doubts, and insecurities in this world of uncertainty, it can be easy to lose sight of God.
Sometimes, we forget He is there for us when things don’t go our way. But yet God never leaves us nor forsakes us. He sees us through many challenges without awareness and gives us the strength to overcome them. It does not matter what you face, Proverbs 3:6 says, “in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.” Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, big or small, present or future, do it in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and give thanks to God. Don’t allow your circumstances to be a hindrance to your faith. Keep on believing in God’s power in all.
1 Peter 3:15 says, “But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.”
My son asked me this question one day; “Dad, how did you manage to wake up every morning and get us up for devotion; he said because I have been trying to do the same thing as well, but I can’t.” Then I smiled; I said because GOD HELPED ME. He went further, saying, “what about using an alarm…” then I smiled again. I said, son, an alarm may help, but it is useless when somebody is dead.
Even with the alarm on our side, you still have to trust God because the alarm is useless at the graveyard. So let’s watch every spoken word; watch every step you take in life and every move you make; make sure it acknowledges GOD; whether referring to your past, talking about your present situation, or even envisioning the future, make sure it acknowledges GOD. Amen. Psalm 14:1 says, “The fool says in his heart “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good.” Amen.
