The Consequences of Sin!

“Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” Genesis 3:9

The feeling of shame and guilt is the consequence of chatting with the devil. You will end up doubting what God has said and begun with what you should not have seen. Then you will become afraid of the presence you should have desired. Eve became very comfortable in the company of the devil and became familiar with him.

When sin possessed Eve, the word of God became missing from her Spirit, and suddenly the fruit that was not pleasant to the eyes became pleasing to the eyes and desired for food. Just as Eve, many Christians have suddenly become comfortable with unbelievers and have forgotten what the word of God says. That which was sin, an abomination to believers, has suddenly become pleasurable, given room for the devil to ask the same question he asked Eve in the Garden of Eden to test your faith, to know if you genuinely are abiding in Christ JESUS.

In John 8:34, Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.

“Has God said?” This question made Eve lose her place and got them into hiding. This act of sin shattered their relationship and Eve’s relationship with God. They could no longer stand in the presence of God, so they made clothing for themselves. When sin takes over humankind, something that should be treasured and enjoyed becomes frightful and painful.

There is no need to doubt the good intentions of God; He has placed us under restrictions or limits. Freedom outside is will destructive. God has declared that His thought for His children is of good and not evil to give them an expected end. So, when God is saying flee, you should flee; when he says run, you should run, because His promises are yea and amen. To remain steadfast in the presence of God, let us flee from every sin. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Prayer:
1. Oh, Lord, may I abide in your presence every day of my life.
2. Psalm 118:2; Oh Lord, I declare that your goodness and loving devotion endures forever in me in Jesus’ name.
