Courage- Antidote of Fear!
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
Courage in the face of adversity is one thing that many people lack. And If you are among those who are afraid of what they may encounter, God said, “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6). So in your darkest hour or moment, never be afraid because the Lord’s presence is always with you. Fear does great harm to the person’s inner being to receive peace, but faith gives us the ability to focus and think clearly.
Fear is a powerful tool for controlling our thoughts and actions. The more we use fear, the stronger it becomes. Fear can be used as a weapon against us or an excuse to avoid doing great things. Every individual has experienced fear in one way or the other. I’m not talking about the fear of God; I mean the emotional fear. From God’s perspective, fear was supposed to caution humankind from evil, but through sin, the devil had made fear a tool to disrupt the power within us. Zig Ziglar said, “With integrity, you have nothing to fear since you have nothing to hide. With integrity, you will do the right thing so that you will have no guilt.”
Isaiah 12:2 says, “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”
Courage attracts success that makes us worthy of respect, while fear attracts failure. When we are in this state of fear, it is easy to lose sight of what God has done or will do. That’s why Joshua 1:9 says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Because being courageous is a choice or willingness to take risks, face that uncertainty, or stand up for what you believe in the right face of popular opposition or rejection.
Courage is an antidote to disarm fear, intimidation, shame, scandal, discouragement, or any personal issue that may come up against you. Therefore, do not allow fear to rob you of your blessings, develop a strong and mighty heart of faith in Christ Jesus. And I prayed at the name of Jesus, every fear of known and unknown robbing you of your blessing be wash away by the blood of Jesus. Therefore, I encourage you to look unto Jesus and hold onto Jesus. Amen. Hebrews 12:2 says, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
