“Look, I am with you, and I will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” Genesis 28:15
O Lord, as we stand on the brink of a new year in 2024, we are filled with hope and anticipation. Your word reminds us that your mercies are new every morning, and great is your faithfulness. We take comfort and solace in knowing that you have made everything good, and we trust in your plans for this year.
We pray that this year will be filled with blessings, opportunities for growth, and moments of joy. May your guiding hand lead us through any challenges or uncertainties that may arise. Help us to remain steadfast in faith and to seek your wisdom in all our endeavors.
Titus 3:5 says, “He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.”
In the face of any difficulties, let us remember Lamentations 3:22-23 – The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. As we embark on this new journey, we trust you and await the goodness you have prepared for us in 2024.
Amid darkness engulfing the world, we declare that your light will shine upon us. Grant us the strength and faith to stand firm in the face of adversity. Let your peace reign within our hearts and dwell within our households. We trust in your unchanging love and mercy to provide a hedge of protection around us. May we find solace in knowing that even as challenges arise, we remain under your divine care, in Jesus’ name, amen. Psalm 91:10 says, “No evil will befall you, no plague will approach your tent.” amen.
Prayer for the day.
Lord, we come before you with humble hearts, seeking your protection in 2024. We bind ourselves to your promises of safety and deliverance from all forms of evil. Shield us from the angel of blood, famine, sickness, scarcity, pain, terrorism attacks, and death that may plan to threaten our lives and homes; in Jesus’ name, amen.
