Delay is Dangerous!2
“We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming when no one can work.” John 9:4
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., once said in his famous blustery speech on April 3, 1968, that “like nobody, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I am not concerned about that now. I just want to do God’s will…” He meant when you have the opportunity to do the right thing, don’t wait until tomorrow or next week. Do what you need to do and then go after it with all your heart as God leads you.
Life is short, and we should be careful about what we do with our time. We shouldn’t waste time on things that are not important to us. Apostle Paul said, “Be careful how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16.
Delay in preaching the gospel to others is dangerous for the soul’s sake! Jesus said (paraphrase) no time to waste, but I must do my best now to reach out to the lost souls. Likewise, you must do your best now to reach out to those who do not know God and his word. To those who have been oppressed and deceive by the devil and his followers.
Do your best now to spread the good news of God’s kingdom on earth. Do not wait for a specific time to preach the gospel to others. It might be too late if you don’t get involved now to save that soul ‘s life or cause them to repent from sin. Share the daily devotion with those who are struggling with their faith. Jesus said, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by His authority.” Act 1:7
1. Every power striving to distract and distance me from God’s plan, in the name of Jesus Christ, be destroyed by fire.
2. I am going to go out into the world to preach the gospel to others without fear in Jesus’ name.
