Don’t be Afraid.

Don’t be Afraid.

Don’t be afraid.

“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever.” Exodus 14:13

Fear does great harm to the person’s ability to be quiet and distracted, but faith gives us the ability to focused and think clearly. Fear is a powerful tool for controlling our thoughts and actions. The more we use fear, the stronger it becomes. Fear can be used as a weapon against us or an excuse to avoid doing great things.

Every individual has experienced fear in one way or the other. I’m not talking about the “fear of God” now, I mean the emotional fear. From God’s perspective, fear was supposed to caution man from doing evil, but the devil through sin had made fear a tool to fail man. Zig Ziglar said, “With integrity, you have nothing to fear since you have nothing to hide. With integrity, you will do the right thing so that you will have no guilt.”

Isaiah 12:2 says, “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.” When we are in Christ, our hearts are filled with courage and confidence. We can overcome any obstacle that comes our way, whether it’s a difficult situation or an overwhelming challenge.

Jesus went out to meet the disciplines one day. He took a walk on the sea and the disciples were much trouble when they saw it. However, immediately, Jesus perceived that they were troubled. He had to identify Himself and told them not to worry. At that same point, Peter also decided to try what Jesus was doing; he was able to walk the same way. But got to a point where fear began to fall on him, and then he started to sink in the sea (But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. Matthew 14:30.).

Many people had failed in time past because of fear. Imagine in an interview when fear has overshadowed you. Even when you know what to say or how to respond, fear makes you look like a fool in the presence of your interviewers. Countless men and women have lost amazing offers because they were not bold enough to defend themselves. I prayed at the name of Jesus, every fear of known and unknown robbing you of your blessing be wash away by the blood of Jesus.

Do not allow fear to rob you of your blessings, develop a strong and mighty heart of faith in Christ Jesus. Hebrews 12:2 says “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Prayer:
1. Thank God for today’s word and for God grace in this time and season in your life.
2. I am thankful for the opportunity to live out my faith and love with others as well
3. Lord, I thank you for showing me this great secret of victory; help me to be filled with your Word so that I can have a faith-filled life.
4. Lord Jesus, give the spirit of boldness to overcome fear and trembling in me. In Jesus name Amen.
