Don’t Do It Without Me!
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be.” Matthew 6:21
Whatever you are doing in this season of life, I encourage you, please do not do it without God. Structure each of your daily activities to serve and promote the things of the kingdom of God. This is a great way to keep yourself focused on what matters most.
I know you want God to be passionate about you and not do things without being involved. Likewise, He wants you to be passionate about Him and not to do things without Him as well. When you are passionate about the things of God that matter most to you, then everything else will follow. As Matthew 6:33 says, “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.”
Psalm 73:25-26 says, “Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
Anytime I listen to the song of Bishop Paul S. Morton that says, “Lord, whatever you’re doing in this season, please don’t do it without me, Don’t do it without me!” And I believed that is what most of us are asking God to do in our lives. If God is sharing a blessing, we want God not to share it without us being able to receive it. However, most people failed to involved God in their plans and desires.
Brethren, invest your time in the things of the kingdom of God as you plan your yearly activities. When you have a plan, make sure it’s involved God, and it’s done with love to all who come into contact with you. Be careful about spending your time without God because you don’t want Him to do anything without you. I know the Lord will never take away from you what he has promised you, but you don’t delay what He has promised you. Remember, Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
Prayer:
1. Father, thank you for your faithfulness and steadfast love.
2. You are my strength and light in this world, Jesus; I will not fail to involve you in every situation.
