Dying at the Gate of Plenty! Part Two

“Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” Mark 16:16

It is heartbreaking when someone dies due to a lack of faith. This is especially true when it prevents them from experiencing the fullness of life that God desires for us all. In 2 Kings 7:17-20, believers were promised plenty, but those who lacked faith died at the gate while those of faith experienced God’s goodness. Unbelief can prevent us from receiving the abundant life God promised because it closes the door to abundance, but the possibilities are limitless when we choose to believe.

When we choose to remain in unbelief, we are essentially dying at the gate of plenty and forfeiting possibilities God has planned for us. Instead, we must take action and never stop believing in His promises, as He can do much bigger things than our minds can imagine. When we trust Him and walk in faith, He will always come through on His promises with an abundance far beyond what we ask or think. So, don’t allow unbelief to be a barrier to unlocking the abundance of possibility around you.

Ephesians 6:16 says, “In all circumstances, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.”

Doubt blocks the pathway to abundance, but faith unlocks its potential. Unbelief has a major impact on abundance. Our doubts and lack of faith can be the very thing that keeps us from achieving the success and wealth we desire. As the saying goes, “our unbelief is like dying at the gate of plenty.” It is possible to go through life never fulfilling one’s potential because of simply not believing in oneself or something greater than ourselves. Remember, unbelief is like a spider spinning a web that is slowly and gradually destroyed by the wind of faith. Despite how resilient it may seem, it eventually dissipates away, leaving nothing behind.

A person who doesn’t have faith that they can succeed in any endeavor will never reach their full potential. Even if they are presented with an opportunity for great wealth, if they do not believe it is available, it will remain out of reach as long as their unbelief persists. Unbelief also stands in the way of developing positive relationships with others and learning from past mistakes; both are essential ingredients for success and abundance. John 20:29 says, “Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Prayer:
1. Oh Lord, increase my faith to stand against all temptations, trials, and tribulations that life throws me.
2. My father, wipe away every unbelieve from my heart so that I may stay firm in faith even when faced with situations beyond my control. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
