“It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” Lamentations 3:26
During times of waiting, it is also important to remain engaged in the present moment. We must resist the temptation to put our lives on hold until our desires are fulfilled. Instead, we can actively seek out opportunities to serve others, invest in our relationships, pursue our passions, or prepare the ground ahead.
In the waiting, we can discover hidden blessings and unexpected growth. It may be a time of refining our character, developing new skills, or gaining a fresh perspective. We can learn to lean on God for guidance and wisdom, seeking His direction in every step we take.
Isaiah 25:9 says, “It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”
Ultimately, embracing the waiting game requires surrendering our timelines and plans to God’s perfect will. It means entrusting our desires and dreams into His hands, knowing His timing is always perfect. As the prophet Isaiah reminds us, “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).
Dear friends, in the seasons of waiting, may we find peace and hope in the arms of our loving God. Let us cast aside our doubts and fears and embrace the unknown, knowing that God is with us every step of the way. May we learn to nurture patience, seek joy and purpose, and trust that God’s plans for us are far greater than anything we could ever imagine. Amen. 1 Peter 5:6-7 says, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” Amen.
Prayer for the Day.
Oh Lord, let my faith be unwavering even while facing uncertainties, knowing that you are always by my side. Thank you for the reassurance that in your perfect timing, all things will work together for my good. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
