Emmanuel, God is with Us! 2
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
The greatest gift to humankind is Jesus, also known as Immanuel (God is with us). John Wesley once said, “The best of all is God with us,” Immanuel means “God with us.” What a radical thought? Believe it; God’s presence is our assurance of eternal rest and glory. Life is a meaningless struggle and a vain illusion without God’s presence. That’s why Jesus came to save us from this endless struggle.
Hebrews 9:24 says, “For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf.” In other words, when we allow Christ to dwell in us, God is always present and never absent. Therefore, be reassured that God is with you in all struggles and pain; be reassured that he will not leave you nor forsake you; be reassured that “he who dwells in the secret place of the highest God shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” There is abundant grace through Christ!
“For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
God is your haven for those who trust in him; He is a stronghold for the needy in distress. The Grace of God through Christ has given us the ability to live fully in his presence to help you from start to finish. Therefore, God has decided to stick with you forever; people might think you don’t deserve it because they see you as someone who doesn’t deserve it, but It’s just what it is- Grace!”
The necessity of God’s presence in our lives is not only for our own sake but also for others and personal salvation. You need to continually recognize and acknowledge the presence of God to appropriately respond to Him, knowing that He is always with you regardless of what you’ve done, where you’ve been, or who you are. Remember, He’s there when you need him most, and He will be there when you need him because he knows your needs, and his presence is with you always. In Exodus 33:14, And God said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
1. Thank Jesus for this wonderful gift of grace in my life.
2. Oh Lord, let your grace see me through (make mention of that situation in your prayer)
