Enter His Gates with Thanksgiving!
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” Psalm 100:4
When you start counting your blessings, you realize how much God has done for you. However, if you take a moment to truly think about all the benefits in your life now, you’ll likely be overwhelmed by how much God has done for you. From the big things like your family and home to the smaller daily graces we often take for granted, it’s easy to see how blessed we are. And when we start counting our blessings, it’s easy to see how good God is. Seeing all He has done for us should fill us with hope and joy, knowing He is always at work in our lives even when we can’t see it.
When you take inventory of your life, count your blessings. See all the good that God has done. No matter what your religious beliefs are, giving thanks for what you have is always a good idea. Psalm 100:4 is a great reminder to enter God’s gates with thanksgiving. Whether you believe that God is responsible for everything good in your life or simply that being thankful makes you happier and more positive, taking time to be grateful is always good.
James 1:17 says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”
So, take a few minutes today to reflect on all that God has done for you. It will undoubtedly be time well spent. Of course, when life gets tough, it can be difficult to remember all the good things that have happened. But if you take a step back and reflect on all the blessings in your life, you’ll see just how much God has done for you. Counting your blessings is a great way to remind yourself of God’s goodness, and it can also help you to have a more positive outlook on life. So, don’t focus on the negative when things are tough, but count your blessings, and you’ll see much to be thankful for.
Lord, as we enter Your gates, we come with thanksgiving in our hearts. We give You all the glory, all the honor; We bless Your holy name; For Your love and Your mercy are everlasting, and we will praise You all of our days; We will enter Your gates with thanksgiving, and we will bow before You in reverence; For You are God, and You alone are worthy; Of all our love and all our worship; We will enter Your gates with thanksgiving; And we will give You the glory, Lord. For You are the One who is good and righteous. And holy and worthy of all our praise. (Psalm 100). Psalm 95:2 says, “Let us enter His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him in song.”
