Enter His Gate with Thanksgivings
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” Psalm 100:4
As the New Year dawns, we can look forward to a fresh beginning. Opening the gate with Praise is a great way to start this new year. Psalm 100:4 instructs us to enter God’s presence with thanksgiving and Praise. This act of praising God sets the tone for the rest of your year; it puts your focus on Him and takes away distractions from worldly things that might take away from your spiritual growth.
Praising and thanking God for all He does open up communication between Him and you, which allows you to stay close and connected with Him throughout the entire year. It also helps remind us that He is always there no matter what challenges may arise during our journey through life. With each step taken, having faith in His will helps keep us focused on reaching our goals while glorifying Him. As children of God, we must live a life of thanksgiving, singing praises unto God. Thankfulness is an expression of gratitude or gratefulness.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
The act of giving thanks to God shouldn’t be occasional but a statement way of life that is continuous according to 1 Thessalonians 5:18. There are many reasons why we must give thanks to the Lord. Firstly, God is pleased with our gratitude. It’s His divine will, and we rest assured that He accepts our sincere heart of worship. You must learn to count your blessings instead of listing your misfortunes. You should thank the Lord because; He forgives your sins, He heals you from your diseases, He redeems your life, He crowns you with love and compassion, and He satisfies your desire with good things.
Gratitude is an attitude that says, ” God, I will exalt your name for your love, mercy, and faithfulness because they are more relevant to me than all the material things that I have.” Remember, Praise is a powerful tool that can be used to open the gate to greater success. As we have seen, Praise contributes to improved motivation, increased productivity, and better relationships. Not only can it be used as a means of showing appreciation but also as an effective way of addressing issues or behavior. Therefore, we must learn how to use Praise effectively in our day-to-day lives to maximize its positive effects in the year 2023. Amen. Psalm 96:2 says, “Sing to the LORD, bless His name; proclaim His salvation day after day.’
Prayer
1. Lord, please give me the heart of thanksgiving to always appreciate all you have done in my life in Jesus’ name.
2. The Lord will fill you with laughter and joy in this new year, 2023 and above. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
