“May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.”

“When we work for God, He establishes our efforts.” In other words, our labor will bear fruit when we align our hands and hearts with His purpose. When our plans fail, God’s purposes stand. What we place in His hands stops slipping through ours. That’s why it is good to pray the prayer from Psalm 90:17, which says, “May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us.” This serves as a beautiful reminder that when we seek His guidance, our endeavors find a foundation rooted in divine support.

In Proverbs 16:3, we are encouraged to “commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” This serves as an invitation to dedicate every task, no matter how small, to God. When we approach our responsibilities with this mindset, we open ourselves up to His blessings, transforming our efforts into something truly meaningful. Remember, “when you give the little to God, nothing stays little.” So, pray, go to work, and watch the ordinary become extraordinary.

Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

Remember to “pour your whole self into the task, as if heaven signs your paycheck, not the crowd. Let purpose, not applause, be your wage.” By infusing our work with purpose, we honor God and reflect His love and light in all we do. This joy in our labor not only enriches us but also inspires others, showcasing the beauty of a life dedicated to faith and service.

Brethren, let’s “Trade the spotlight for stewardship, and aim to please the One who sees in secret.” The parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30 illustrates the importance of using our gifts wisely. Just as the servants were rewarded for their efforts, we too, when faithful in our work, entrust God with our ambitions and, in return, receive His favor. Amen. Philippians 2:13 says, “For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good purpose.” Amen.

Prayer for the Day!

Heavenly Father, thank You for breathing on our labor and turning ordinary work into a doorway that endures Your goodness. God, establish the work of my hands for Your glory. Help me to labor with purpose, trusting in Your guidance. May each task reflect my faith in You, and may my efforts bring honor to Your name. Remember, “Work with Purpose, Establish with Faith!” and watch as God transforms your endeavors into blessings for yourself and those around you. In Jesus name.
