“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” Psalm 136:1
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts overflowing in gratitude for the dawn of this new day, this new month, and this new year of 2025. Like a sunrise breaking through night’s darkness, Your unwavering faithfulness is the light that guides us forward. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever (Psalm 136:1). As You have been with us through every past season, so too we trust in Your presence now—our refuge and strength.
Today, O Lord, as Psalm 118:24 reminds us: This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it, may our spirits be ever filled with thanksgiving. Let every heartbeat echo profound appreciation for Your endless mercy and grace. May each moment reflect our deep gratitude for life itself and for the beauty that surrounds us—a constant reminder of Your creative hands.
Philippians 4:6 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
As storytellers share tales of old planting seeds that yield a hundredfold—let this parable remind us of how even small acts of faith can bear abundant fruit when entrusted to You. With each prayer we offer today, plant within us seeds of hope and gratitude, knowing fully well that 2025 shall indeed be a year brimming with abundance.
In unity with Christ’s kindred spirit among believers worldwide, we hold onto this truth: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13). May thanksgiving shape our words daily while gently reminding others around us about God’s eternal promises fulfilled through Jesus Christ. Amen. Psalm 100:4 says, “Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!”
Prayer for the Day!
Heavenly, Father, we lift these thankful reflections unto Heaven’s throne room, acknowledging humbly yet confidently – without fear nor worry about what tomorrow or year 2025 holds—for nothing escapes Your sovereign guidance or loving care over our lives forevermore. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
