Faithful Reflections with Praise: A 2022 Recap! Part Two
“The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.” Psalm 115:17
Have you ever reflected on the faithfulness of God? As we begin to close the books on 2022 and look back to the journey this year has taken us, now is an opportune time for recapping a remarkable ’22 journey. After all, Psalm 115:17 reminds us that “The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.” So when I read a faithful reflections story with praise from one of our daily devotional subscribers, it helps me to recall and consider how God has been faithful in the past years.
In her reflection story, she said, “There have been times in my life when I doubted God was really there for me. Times when I thought things were just too hard, and I couldn’t see how things could ever work out. But, time and time again, God has shown Himself to be faithful. For example, I think about when I was 25 years old and had just gone through a tough breakup. I was completely heartbroken and felt so lost. I didn’t know if I could ever survive without the person I thought I would spend the rest of my life with. But God carried me through that time. He gave me the strength to keep going and to believe that there was a better future for me.
Lamentations 3:22-23 says, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
A few years later, I found myself in the middle of a really tough job situation. I had worked at the same company for 7 years and thought I had great job security. But then the company went through a big restructuring, and I was one of many laid off. It was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. I didn’t know how I would ever support myself and my family. But, again, God carried me through. He provided for us in ways that I never could have imagined. God has been with us every step of the way. He has given us strength and courage when we have needed it.
Brethren, we could go on and on, recounting all her notes to our ministry about how God has been faithful to her and her family from the past till now. But I think the bottom line is this: God is always faithful. He is always there for us, no matter what we are going through. He is our rock and our refuge. And we must be grateful for that. There is no doubt that God has been faithful to us throughout this year’s journey. He has been with us through the highs and lows and has never left our side. So be grateful for His guidance and love, and be ready for the greater blessing coming your way in the year 2023 in Jesus’ name. Amen. 2 Timothy 2:13 says, “If we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.”
Prayer:
Oh Lord, I thank you for your faithfulness over my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
