“When the tempest passes, the wicked is no more, but the righteous is established forever.” Proverbs 10:25

During life’s storms, when all hope seems lost, God saves us from sinking into despair. A powerful example of this can be found in the story of Peter walking on water (Matthew 14:28-30). When Peter’s faith wavered and began to sink, he cried out to Jesus for salvation. In that moment of desperation, God reached out His hand to lift Peter up and rescue him from the depths. So, the fourth Certainties to Hold Onto During Life’s Storms is that God saves us because amid life’s storms, remember that God’s saving grace is like a lighthouse guiding us safely to shore.

God never abandons us, no matter how dire or fierce our situation may appear. He intervenes when we falter and extends His unwavering support. All we need to do is call upon Him with sincere faith. Just as Jesus saved Peter, so will God save us during our own moments of struggle. It is important to acknowledge that life can often throw us into turbulent waters. We may face trials, setbacks, and uncertainty that threaten to engulf us. However, amidst these storms, we should find solace in God being beside us, ready to extend His saving hand.

John 16:33 says, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Let this knowledge instill confidence within us even during our darkest moments. Even when we are drowning in despair or overwhelmed by challenges beyond our control, we can trust that God’s saving grace will always prevail. He can pull us out of any depths and restore hope where it seems lost. Therefore, let us hold steadfastly onto our faith and seek God’s guidance when faced with adversity. With His presence and love as our anchor during life’s storms, we can find the strength to rise above the crashing waves. Trusting in His divine plan for our lives.

It is often said that God works in mysterious ways, and trusting in His divine plan can provide us with solace and guidance during times of uncertainty. When we face troubled waters, whether through personal challenges, setbacks, or unexpected circumstances, having faith in God’s plan allows us to approach these situations with a renewed sense of courage and resilience. So remember, no matter how fierce the storm may be or how deep the waters seem, God’s saving hand is ever-present. He will never leave us stranded or alone in despair. Titus 2:11 says, “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people.” Amen.
