“Wisdom and knowledge are granted unto thee, and I will give thee riches, wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.” Proverbs 2:6
Wisdom is the ability to act based on experience, knowledge, understanding, common sense, and insight. There is wisdom that comes from human experience and studies, but today, we are looking at the wisdom that comes from God, which goes beyond human comprehension, the type God gave to King Solomon. This wisdom goes beyond human knowledge and understanding. It is a complete package for righteous living, discernment, sound judgment, and godly life.
For every believer, this wisdom is priceless and worth pursuing because the Bible says: “Wisdom is the principal (Proverbs 4:7).” God presented Solomon with a blank check when he asked him to request anything (verse 7). He could have asked for more wealth, riches, honor, or Death for his enemies. Instead, he asked for wisdom to precede over affairs in the domain God has placed him. God has placed us in a domain to preside over some affairs.
James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”
The primary thing we need from God is not money but wisdom to preside over the domain he has kept us. When we seek and get this wisdom, every other thing will follow. The only source of Godly wisdom is God himself. No school or institution teaches Godly wisdom; neither can this wisdom be acquired based on the number of years accumulated here on earth—only the fear of the Lord brings about this wisdom (Proverbs 9:10).
The fear of God goes beyond paying lip service to God; it’s beyond going to church and beyond paying tithe and offering. To fear God means to reverence Him and obey his commandment (Ecclesiastics 12:13-14). Amen. Ecclesiastes 2:26 says, “For to the one who pleases him God has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he has given the business of gathering and collecting, only to give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.” Amen.

2. Father, make me wise and to live in obedience to your word in Jesus’ name. Amen.
