God Highly Exalted Him!

God Highly Exalted Him!

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name.” Philippians 2:9

The name of Jesus has so much power to solve any problem than any other name. No matter how difficult it is, His name is above every issue that we face in life. He is above all things that are beyond our control. God was so deliberate to have lifted the name of Jesus; Likewise, He lifts anyone who is humble and submissive. So, we can say Jesus was first humble before He could have been lifted.

The lifting God gave Jesus is incomparable; it was indeed a glorious lifting after humility and much sacrifice. In Philippians 2:5-8, we see how Jesus, who was full of Glory and power, displayed his act of humility. He indeed had the power to overcome death, but he was still humble till death. He laid all down in heaven and also came to this sinful world to lay his life down for unworthy sinners to make us worthy.

Christ works and deed form the basis of his lifting at the end. Now, all of these suggest that we be like Jesus. Philippians 2:5 says, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,” if anyone actually wants to receives an uplifting, such must first be humble. This is not some hypocrite-humility, Jesus was never humble because he wanted good recommendations or because He wanted people to hail him, His act of humility and sacrifice was all to the Glory of the Father who sent him.

Therefore, your life must speak of God’s Glory at all times. Your words, attitude, and sacrifices must be unto God and not to your pleasures. And undoubtedly, God will raise you like He raises Jesus. He will lift you when you are down and will help you through any difficulty that may come our way. But you must let the mind of Christ be in you to represent Christ in exaltation and glorification. James 4:6 says, “But He gives more grace. Therefore, He says: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Prayer:
1. Lord, help me to be humble and sincere with You.
2. James 4:10, “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you.”
