God is Always Speaking to Us!

“And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.”1 Samuel 3:10

God is always speaking to us, though we may not always be attuned to the frequency. By paying attention to our thoughts, emotions, and experiences, we can begin to understand the language of God. This communication from God is often felt more than it is heard, though it can also come in the form of a quiet voice or nudge. Our job is to be still and listen for the ways God is trying to reach us.

God’s voice is active and alive in our lives. It is a constant presence in our lives, whether we are paying attention or not. His voice will continue to reveal His character, purpose, and the deepest secret of things in life. Please do not take his voice for granted because it’s sharper than any two-edged sword. It is factual that contemporary Christians give little or no attention to God’s voice. How I wish I could emphasize this, even while raising our children. Samuel was just a young boy who couldn’t decode God’s voice until Eli had to enlighten him.

“For the word of God is quick, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerned of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrew 4:12.

Brethren, Learning to discern God’s voice early in life gives our life a rapid shape because, in His voice, we find directions in life. God is at all-time ready to speak to us. As a matter of fact, He speaks at all times, but how can we say He speaks when we can’t hear His voice or are not ready to pay attention? You don’t need a unique device or a special time to listen to Him. Instead, you need to be aware of how he speaks and listens. God’s voice is always there for you. It doesn’t have to be loud as thunder or clear as the sky, but it can be heard when your spirit is connected to Him.

God’s voice is always present, but you too, must present a listening ear to hear. There’s a lot He has to tell you about your life today, but do you care to hear His voice? Psalm 85:8 says, “I will listen to what God will say; surely the LORD will declare peace to his people, his faithful ones, and not let them go back to foolish ways.”

Prayer:
Lord, I am thankful for your guidance in this challenging time. I know that you are with me through it all.
God, I’m ready to be guided and led by your voice. Speak to me, Lord.
In the name of Jesus, I come against every evil voice that is trying to take away my freedom and life now
