God’s Outstretched Arm!
“Therefore say to the children of Israel: ‘I am the LORD; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.” Exodus 6:6
As humans, we might have received various promises and vows from people. Of course, many of them have failed. You’ve been disappointed by the inability of people to stand by their words. However, God isn’t like that. Please note; we can predict the possibility of a promise by looking at humankind’s previous ways.
Though, here on earth, there are people we still trust to some extent, based on how they’ve proven themselves in the past. No matter how nice and fulfilled they are, their promises are incomparable to God’s. When God appeared to Moses and sent him as a saving tool to the Israelites, Moses went to Egypt and declared God’s word to Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, but it was at that point that Pharaoh increased the Israelite sufferings.
Joshua 21:45 says, “Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.”
However, It was very difficult for them and even for Moses. He could have lost his trust in the promises God made to him, but God appeared again to assure him of His promises. Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I [am] the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with outstanding judgments.
God restores us with His mighty works and outstretched arms. When He makes any promise, or you found yourself in any trouble, be assured that His outstretched arms will save you. Trust in His promises; God will surely deliver His children. Romans 4:21 says, “being fully persuaded that God had the power to do what he had promised.”
Lord, I believe in your promises. Please help me to stand by your words in Jesus’ name!
