“For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
As we step into the new month of July, let’s carry with us a sense of hope and renewal. Franklin Williams reminds us in the soulful lyrics of Grace and Mercy that we are sustained through grace and mercy: Your grace and mercy brought me through, and I’m living this moment because of You. No matter what challenges you faced last month, know that you are standing here today by divine favor. Embrace this moment with gratitude, knowing you can conquer whatever lies ahead.
Think about the story of David against Goliath. Young David did not let his small size or lack of armor discourage him; instead, he relied on God’s strength. His faith made him victorious over a giant. Like David, trust that your battles this July can also be won not by might but by grace and faith. Remember Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Success comes from determination coupled with divine support.
Ephesians 3:16 says, “I ask that out of the riches of His glory, He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being.”
In moments when you feel overwhelmed, take comfort in knowing that you are never alone. The promise in Deuteronomy 31:6 reassures us: Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Even when the path seems tough, look back at how far you’ve come, not merely by your own effort, but led by an unfailing hand guiding you every step.
Let’s start this month with a heart full of thanksgiving and anticipation. Reflecting on how Grace and Mercy have brought us through challenging times gives us the courage to move forward. As we navigate through July, continually lift up praises and maintain an attitude of gratitude, just as Williams’ song suggests. Stay resilient, hopeful, and committed to your journey—you’ve already made it this far. Amen. Titus 2:11 says, “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people.” Amen.
Prayer for the Day!
Heavenly Father, I humbly beseech you to grant the gift of gratitude to those who seek your guidance. May they be blessed with the wisdom to recognize your hand in every moment, big or small. Help them find joy in the simplest of blessings and see Your love reflected in all things. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
