Hold Fast and Hold On!
“Nevertheless, hold fast to what you have until I come.” Revelation 2:25
Yes, hold fast to the love of Christ, hold firm to the faith that God has given us, and hold on to His promises. What you receive and learned through in Christ is a virtue of righteousness, justice, grace, and mercy. Many people are not aware of these virtues until they lost it in fake prophecies and disobedience transit that leads to hell.
Today’s verse is the word of the Lord written to the church at Thyatira for not doing the needful. Because, as a church, we are a group of people whom God has called to be priest, governors over nations, to be facet bearers of the gospel, and to be ambassadors that hold on to the truth and love of God. However, some churches do not live up to their true calling; instead, they have become so accustomed to Jezebel’s spirit that misleads other believers. (Revelation 2 :20-22).
Ephesians 3:10 says, “So that through the church, the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.”
We can continue to question God that ‘why would God be against the church, despite all their good works and service in God’s presence? Dear brethren, some churches have not assumed that position of authority where God wants them to be. God has invested in the church for believers, and it is His purpose to make sure that the church continues to serve its purpose.
Therefore, believers are encouraged to hold fast the love, faith, trust, service, patience, and growth in the virtues, which is the church’s main character. False teachers would arise, and lies would come out of nowhere, but if you keep your heart focus on Jesus and keep going with the truth, you will never get disappointed. Revelation 3:11 says, “I am coming soon. Hold fast to what you have so that no one will take your crown.”
Prayer:
1. That the consciousness of Godliness comes upon the church anew
2. That the grace of perseverance come upon every member of the body in Jesus name.
