“So, we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” 1 John 4:16

Embracing a life of devotion means choosing to align your heart, mind, and actions with God’s love. Just as a tree draws nourishment from its roots, our souls find strength in the unwavering love of the divine. As Proverbs 3:5- 6 says, trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

In the journey of rediscovering God’s unconditional love, we are reminded of the parable of the prodigal son. Like the father who embraced his wayward child with open arms, so does God welcome us back into his loving embrace no matter how far we may have strayed. Deuteronomy 7:9 says, “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.”

Let us be like the wise builder who laid a strong foundation on rock, not sand. In times of uncertainty or doubt, let our faith stand firm on the unshakable truth of God’s enduring love. As Romans 8:38-39 assures us, For I am convinced that neither death nor life… nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
