I Raise a Hallelujah!

I Raise a Hallelujah!

“Then Jehoshaphat consulted with the people and appointed those who would sing to the LORD and praise the splendor of His holiness. As they went out before the army, they were singing: “Give thanks to the LORD, for His loving devotion endures forever.” 2 Chronicles 20:21

“I Raise a Hallelujah” song was an inspirational song by the Holy Spirit for Bethel Music CEO Joel Taylor’s boy, Jaxon, who was hospitalized with life-threatening E-coli virus. When the worship leaders Jonathan David and Melissa Helser had information that the boy might not make it out of the hospital, the two started to pray, and out of their intercession, they got inspired, and begin to sing “I Raise a Hallelujah, in the presence of my enemies. I Raise a Hallelujah, louder than the unbelief…”

While they continue to sing this song, after several weeks, the boy begins to recover from his illness. I don’t know what you are facing or what is facing you right now, but I would encourage you to use praise and worship as weapons against your enemies within and without. When you are in our darkest place, you need to be reminded of the power of praise and worship. Use melody as your weapon.

Jehoshaphat, with his exceptional victory over the enemy, he won the battle with a weapon of melody. He was able to defeat the enemy by using praise and worship in a way that no other human could have done. Instead of him to send his best army into the front line against the enemy, he sent the best worshipers (I mean the best) to the front line of the battle, and they were all singing along. 2 Chronicle 20:1-29.

“The moment they began their shouts and praises, the LORD set an ambush against the Ammonites, Moabites, and the inhabitants of Mount Seir who came to fight against Judah, and they were defeated.”2 Chronicle 20:22. I declare now, that as you raise your hand in praise and worship to God, every giant before you and behind shall go down in Jesus name.

As you enter into this new month in which you are called to celebrate life, not death, don’t forget to raise your praise and worship God with gratitude. If you cannot sing with your voice, play music related to praise and worship. It is so important to remember that you are here on earth for a purpose. You are here to glorify God and let him fight your battle for you.

Sing a new song of praise and worship. Sing the praises of God with all your heart, and soul. Sing them loud and clear. Be thankful for the blessings of God, because this is your season of celebration where you will have a chance to show your appreciation for his grace and mercy. Let people know that the KING IS ALIVE in you and he has been given you the gift of life. John 1:4 says, “In Him was life, and that life was the light of men.”

Prayer:
1. Begin to worship God by singing to him. Sing to him. Sing to God with all your heart to express your gratitude for his love and mercy.
2. Lord, I thank you for the gift of life and daily blessing that I have received from you.
3. Lord Jesus, I know that the battle is not mine for it is yours to declare victory for my sake and your glory in Christ Jesus. Amen.
