If You Continue, the Joy Await! 2
“Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.” Job 8:7
The world needs to hear your testimony and learn from you. There is joy in waiting patiently and working through the process. To experience this joy, learn to wait. It will come if you are ready to wait for the right time to let the joy of harvest take hold with patience, perseverance in faith, and a willingness to wait for God’s timing.
The irony in the story of Pearl Wait, who produced Jell-O, is that even with the fact that his name is Wait, he could not wait. He sold the right to his products for just $450 because the product was not selling well at the time. He did not have the patience to push through. A great businessman, Orator Woodward, bought and turned this investment into a million-dollar business and well-known name. Jell-O is a household name now, and it is found everywhere.
Zechariah 4:10 says, “For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the LORD, which scan to and from throughout the whole earth.”
Likewise, with the story of Pearl wait, there are many other examples of how people can give up their dream easily because they do not know what to do next. They give up quickly and get discouraged because they are afraid that they will lose everything and despised their dream and their little beginning of life. The same goes for some entrepreneur who has been in business for years but gives up at the edge of a breakthrough.
Are you in that category of people that easily gives up on a dream? If so, then this message is for you. It is time to set up a plan with God and start living your dreams. Don’t lose faith in yourself or in dreams God gave you; Ask God in prayer for guidance and help. He knows what you need to do now, so keep trusting Him and keep moving forward. Don’t quit because the joy awaits! Romans 15:13 says, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
Prayer:
1. Thank you, Jesus, for not giving up on me. I am thankful for the grace of God to give me the strength and courage to face my fear.
2. Oh Lord, turn my fear into a blessing, turn my mourning into dancing, and turn every sadness into gladness in Jesus’ name. Amen!
