“For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18
In the shadow of the Cross, we find our strength renewed. For it is written in Isaiah 40:31 ‘But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.’ Let us take heart in this promise as we navigate life’s challenges, knowing that God is our ever-present help.
Just as Jesus carried His cross with unwavering faith and resilience, let us bear our burdens with courage and trust in His divine plan. Remember the words of Matthew 11:28-30, where Jesus invites us to come to Him with our heavy loads, promising rest for our souls.
Matthew 11:28-30 says, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Think of the Cross as a beacon of hope in a dark world, a symbol of redemption and grace bestowed upon us. Like a lighthouse guiding ships safely to shore, let the Cross guide us through turbulent waters with unwavering faith.
Recall the story of Jesus calming the storm in Mark 4:35-41; even amidst chaos and uncertainty, He had power over nature. With this same authority, may we surrender our fears and doubts at the foot of the Cross, trusting in His perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Amen. John 16:33 says, “I have said these things to you so that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” Amen
Prayer for the Day!
Heavenly Father, we humbly ask for Your strength to run this race of life without growing weary. Just as Your word in Isaiah 40:31 promises, may we soar on wings like eagles, renewed by Your glorious power. Grant us the endurance to overcome obstacles and press on with unwavering faith. In moments of exhaustion, may Your spirit lift us up and carry us forward. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
