“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10
Having faith means knowing deep in your heart that God can handle anything you face. It’s like preparing a special recipe—an “Ingredients of Faith” mix—that brings peace to your spirit when life gets tough. Start with 1 cup of faith, believing in God’s power and love. Add 2 tablespoons of trust because relying on Him wholeheartedly is essential. A sprinkle of peace calms anxious thoughts, and a dash of perseverance helps you keep going through trials.
I remember a story of a young lady named Sarah, who faced overwhelming debt and job loss but never lost hope. She knew God could handle it all. Encouraged by Philippians 4:6-7 (“Do not be anxious about anything …), she combined her faith, trust, peace, and perseverance daily. Over time, new job opportunities arose, and financial stability returned.
James 1:12 says, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”
Remember David and Goliath—a tale of unwavering faith in God’s power to conquer giants. As author Max Lucado once said, Faith is not the belief that God will do what you want. It is the belief that God will do what is right. This perspective can give us confidence in times of uncertainty. So now, I encourage you to mix the ingredients test with gratitude as Sarah did. Then, serve yourself a dish of hope alongside this assurance and savor the taste of divine strength and comfort.
Remember, God got this! When you preheat your heart to love and blend these heavenly ingredients well, you’ll find yourself served with abundant blessings and strength for any challenge ahead. Trust in His plan always; He truly can handle everything we surrender to Him. Amen. Romans 1:17 says, “For in it, the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.” Amen
Prayer for the day!
Holy Spirit, in moments of doubt or despair, reminds us of God’s unending presence and fills our souls with peace that surpasses all understanding. Let gratitude be our constant companion, leading us closer to You with every whispered prayer of thanks. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
