Interceding in Love! 2
“First, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people.” 1 Timothy 2:1
There are different types of prayers. However, the intercession prayer is a kind of God-leading prayer that you pray for a person’s needs, place, or things you care about or are led by the Holy Spirit. I have interceded in the spirit in many situations where the Holy Spirit led me to pray for some people I did not even know but needed me.
However, we are often so focused on our problems that we forget to share God’s love with others in prayer with a sincere desire to help them or sharpen their iron (Iron sharpens iron). Intercession prayer is an intentional prayer that goes beyond the selfishness of our needs. It is a prayer of faith that invites God’s presence and provision to bless other peoples’ lives.
Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
Trust, love, and unity are the core bases of a substantial relationship with peace and stands. Our love for Christ and unshaken stand in faith in times of challenges are what prayers and blessings of heaven bring to us. Just has Paul seek and asked for the Brethren’s prayers in Thessalonians; is there any need for your support in prayer for empowerment and protection?
There are various unseen forces in our daily endeavor, and the only weapon to overcome is prayer…. However, we might not have the privilege to pray at the point of such challenges, but the love we share with Brethren can bring our matter in their heart at that point and makes them a moment of rescue for us. As you stand in the gap in prayer, you will see the light of God’s glory in Jesus’ name. Amen. John 16:24 says, “Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”
Prayer:
Lord, make me a great intercessor that loves to support others and the church in Jesus’ name. Amen
