IT MUST FIRST PREVAIL IN YOU.

So MIGHTILY GREW the word of God and PREVAILED. ” Acts 19:20.

A man had planned to change the whole world; when the reality hit him, he was told to go and change his country first. When he got to his country, he was told to change his home state for good; when he got to his state, he was told to change his home town. When he got to his town, he was told to change or impact his family first; when he got to his family, he was told first to change himself, get himself together before he can encourage them. In another word, charity begins with YOU. You cannot change the world with your word overnight, but you can change your world by your word overnight.

Now, before the word of God prevailed in the city of Ephesus, it first prevailed in the #LIVES of the people there, and then THEY AFFECTED the city. Thereby implying, before the word of God prevails in your life (that’s ALL that concerns you) it MUST first prevail in YOU. If it has NOT YET prevailed in your thoughts, your mind, your will, and character of words, HOPING to see and have its kind of RESULTS in your everyday life will be an ERROR. The word of God is a powerful weapon; it brings significant changes in life.

According to Matthew Henry, he said: “If we resist the devil by faith in Christ, he will flee from us; but if we think to resist him by the using of Christ’s name, or his works, as a spell or charm, Satan will prevail against us.” This is why we need to “Let the word of Christ dwell in us RICHLY in ALL WISDOM” (Col 3:16a), to be a “Lamp onto our Feet, and a light unto our path” (Psalms 119:105) So that our EXPECTATION of a GOOD and SUCCESSFUL life will not be Cut off. (Proverbs 23:18b) Praise God.

Let this be a reality in your life. When you hold on to Jesus, others will follow suit. When your character reflects Christ-like behavior, others will follow. When you are filled with love for him, others will follow suit. When you are filled with peace and joy, others can tell. Because what you have is what you can give to the world. Just as Jesus said in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Amen.

Prayer:
1. Thank you, Lord, for your word that changed my word. I am thankful for the power of God’s Word today.
You shall overcome every obstacle of life, every challenge of faith; every difficulty of hope by the power of the Holy Ghost. In Jesus name. Amen
