Learn of Christ!
Ephesians 4:17-24 says,
“So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts. Having lost all sense of shame, they have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity, with a craving for more.”
“But this is not the way you came to know Christ. Surely you heard of Him and were taught in Him, in keeping with the truth that is in Jesus, to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be renewed in the spirit of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
Beloved, don’t just read those scriptures for reading’s sake, let the scripture communicate to you. Let it minister to your heart, read it over and over again so that you can understand what it truly means when the Bible is telling you to learn of Christ.
When you have learned of Christ by allowing him to break down your ego, pride, and hidden sins in you to renew you, you won’t have sinful desires in your heart again and walk in the vanity of your mind, which leads to death. But you would be walking in the way of light, and not take church-going as being walking with God; you won’t be thinking of dubious means to make money. Romans 6:1 says, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?”
1. Father, thank you for giving me the grace and privileged to know you through your son Jesus Christ.
2. Any veil covering my knowledge of what Christ has provided for me in his riches shall be taken away in the name of Jesus
