“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16

There is no ignorance in the court of law; that is why all judgment shall be rendered as written. The truth we know is the truth that sets us free from life’s bondage. We cannot escape this reality because God knows what is best for us. That’s why He calls our attention to the importance of the Holy Spirit, who is known as Dove, comforter, intercessor, advocate, counselor, helper, and spirit of truth.

The Holy Spirit started moving in our lives from the day of redemption, but many people don’t care until they lost the connection with Him. Because of sin and disobedience, the Holy Spirit can not connect with us to help and guide us. He is our advocate, but only when we are willing to listen and follow his word. He is our comforter, but only when we allow Him to dwell within us can He comfort us.

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 says, “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? Therefore, if anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person, for God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.”

Due to conscious and hardened hearts to the truth, many people have used exceptionally loathsome, hatefulness, wickedness, and other forms of sin to chase away the Holy Spirit in their lives. As a result, they have lost what is freely given to them. This is why it is so important to let go of all those things that will disconnect your heart from God. Therefore, let go of all the things that make you feel unworthy or worthless.

The Holy Spirit wants to help you connect to the source of divine power and favor, but you must be willing to initiate the process of bringing him into your life. You must make a clean room in your heart where he can dwell—a room with no hatred, anger, malice, jealousy, or any evil. Instead, you must prepare Him a room that supports the process of bringing you closer to God. Romans 8:11 says, “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.”

Prayer:
1. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for all the comfort and helping hand of my soul. I pray that you continue to guide me in this journey of faith and love towards God.
2. Galatians 5:16: Oh Lord, help me to walk in the light of truth so that I will not gratify the desire of flesh in Jesus’ name.
