Learning is Knowing!

“Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance,” Proverbs 1:5

We must understand that what we know gives us a sense of direction and purpose. It helps us maximize our potential and ensure that we don’t get lost in the world’s noise. There are ways to get information for growth and development for our life if we want to be productive and fulfilled. But how can we get the right information?

Thankfully, technology has made everything easier and information accessible. With your phones and laptops, you can get the information to make the seed inside you grow. You can find out about new things by reading books or watching videos. The internet is a source of information that you can use, but you have to be careful about what you read because some can be harmful.

Proverbs 14:15 says, “The naive believes everything, But the sensible person considers his steps.”

Another way to learn is through people’s experiences or people you know. You can learn from people around you, but you have to be ready and humble enough to learn from them. It does not matter the age and class of the person you want to learn from; what matters is how much you are willing to learn. Being teachable and humility are very important attributes needed to learn from others. Use the information you have for the right thing and focus on your goal.

The more you learn, the better you will become at it. The good and bad things that happen in other people’s lives are part of learning. What has been written and discussed before can be used to improve and grow, but select the most relevant ones. The best way to do this is by focusing on the positive aspects of life so that you will not consume the negative ones. Most importantly, read your Bible. Romans 15:4 says, “For everything that was written in the past was written for our instruction so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures, we might have hope.”

Prayer:
1. Oh Lord, thank you for the wisdom of your word.
2. I am thankful for the guidance of my Father in heaven, who has given me a word of truth.
3. Holy Spirit, come and help me to know what I need to know in Jesus’ name. Amen.
