Learning to trust God!
“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me? Put your hope in God, for I will praise Him for the salvation of His presence.” psalm 42:5
“Trusting God is like holding on to a tied balloon. You can either grip it tightly in your fist, or you can relax your grip and let it fly.” There is always a passing-through; even Jesus passed through the wilderness and never grumbled nor murmured. It only takes a grateful heart that recognizes God’s mercy and mighty capacity not to grumble while in the wilderness. So, irrespective of what you might be going through, endeavor not to complain or murmur; God is capable! Don’t allow your temporary state of affairs to discourage you from God-given talent.
In 1 Samuel 4, The wife of Phinehas’s story covers just a few verses towards the end of 1 Samuel 4, where she is introduced as Eli’s daughter-in-law. She was about to give birth when she heard that the Philistines had captured the Ark of God. She dies in childbirth and calls her son “Ichabod,” saying, “The glory has departed from Israel.” In other words, “NO GLORY.” I understand that the Glory of God is essential in every life, home, city, and nation. The Ark of God belongs to God, and God knows why it was captured. Whatever happens to you in this life, remember it happened for a reason. There is nothing wrong with you.
In John 14:1, Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in Me as well.”
However, if you are not careful, you will be tempted to complain, grumble, lose control, and sin against God. Rick Warren said, “What happens outwardly in your life is not as important as what happens inside you. Your circumstances are temporary, but your character will last forever.” Therefore, don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; also believe in Jesus Christ. He is the only one who can save you from all kinds of troubles and problems that comes your way.
Do not allow circumstances to oppress you to the extent that you will destroy that God-given talent or gift that you have been carrying for so long, and few minutes to deliver it, you change your mind. The devil is not playing; he is a roaring lion, looking for whom he may devour. He is ready to waste every given talent that God deposited in you if you allow him. He had tried it with Jesus; he failed. With Christ in you, he will fail again. Therefore, hold on to Jesus, the author, and finisher of faith. Amen. John 1:4 says, “In Him was life, and that life was the light of everyone.” Amen
Prayer:
1. Thank God for your life, which makes you overcome life situations.
2. Lord Jesus, don’t allow the pressure of this word; life’s circumstances oppressed me to give up on the gift you deposited in me.
3. I shall overcome every trial and tribulation in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
