Living Life According to God’s will!
“Your kingdom comes your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.” Mathew 6:10.
How to let go and allow God to lead your life? This is a question that many people struggle with. The issue is that we often think that we know what is best for ourselves, and we don’t want to let go. But in reality, this approach only leads to disappointment and frustration. The key to successful living is learning to trust God and allow Him to direct our lives. When we do this, we are guaranteed to have a better experience in life. Follow God’s plan for your life and be blessed beyond measure
Surrendering your will is far beyond prayer. It’s not just about praying for things to happen but being willing to give up the steering wheel of your life to God. To be a disciple of Christ, you must understand the importance of letting go of your will in all areas of life. This is not an easy task, but it is vital if you want to follow Jesus. When you surrender your will to Him, you no longer withdraw from the process; you allow God to get involved. He knows what is best for you and will guide you in the right direction if you let Him.
Luke 9:23-24, Jesus said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.”
Jesus’ kingdom has now come to dwell in our midst. So Jesus taught his disciples what to do when they were to be living as Christ-followers after his departure. Until you surrender your will to God in prayer, business, career, academics, and so on, before you fully enjoy the freedom of trusting God’s plan for your life. Surrendering your will to God is the most beautiful thing that can happen to you because it’s a way of letting go of all the burdens holding you back in complete compliance with God’s purpose and His timing.
What is it you seek from God that you have not been able to get? Is it job employment, finance, or joy? Have you tried surrendering your will to God and being attentive to what he says to you concerning what you want from him? Do you want quick answers to your prayers that will last for only a short period OR appointed answers to your prayers that will last you and the generations unborn? Remember, everything you desire is within your reach. James 4:10 says, “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.”
1. Father, thank you for this devotion and for opening my eyes to the truth.
2. Father, as from today, I surrender my will to you because I want to know you more in Jesus’ name. Amen!
